Weight Loss Program

For many people, trying to lose weight seems to come down to what they are willing to cut out of their diets.  I once had somebody comment on the weight I had lost and asked, so did you stop drinking soda?  Yes, I’m a soda addict and don’t like the taste of diet.  I told them no, I still drink soda, just not as much as I once did.

I took me a long time to truly accept that weight loss is a simple formula – burn more calories than you consume and you’ll lose weight.  Yes, it really can be that simple in concept.  The challenge is keeping track of how many calories you are burning to know how many calories you can consume on a daily basis.  Once you have the right tools though, the process is actually that simple.  I’m not saying that the implementation of the process is all that simple at times, BUT!  If you keep the basic principle in mind, it does get much easier.

Burn more calories than you consume

To do this effectively, you need to have some basic tools at your disposal.  As we make progress through our Weight Loss Plan, all the tools needed will be discussed and how they fit into helping you attain your weight loss goal.  There are no weight loss gimmicks here or rapid weight loss tricks.  Those things will not help you attain your weight loss goal and help you to maintain your goal.  Weight loss is a process and learning a lifestyle.  For those of us who have challenges with our weight, we may be learning something new that we will need to focus on continually to first attain our weight loss goal, and then to maintain the weight we would like to stay at.

It’s not complicated, it’s not rocket science, but it is a system to be worked steadily and consistently.  Consistency is one of the key concepts.  If you are ready to make the commitment to yourself to lose weight, then it’s time to get started!

Congratulations! This is step #1 in our Weight Loss Program and you’ve already completed it!  Understanding the simple concept of burning more calories then you consume is the first step to making your weight loss goals reality.
